G. T. F. Chromium
Chromium occurs in nature as a complex containing 3 amino acids, which make up what is called the “glucose tolerance factor”. Without this complex, chromium is unable to be used in the body. Chromium from food and Food State Chromium contain the GTF complex, whilst other chemical forms of chromium do not.
Recommended Intake
One tablet daily as a food supplement or as directed by a practitioner.
What does it do?
Chromium, as the essential part of Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF), has a vital role to play in the following:
• Carbohydrate metabolism;
• Insulin metabolism and balance;
• Enzyme activity related to the metabolism of glucose and the synthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol;
• Transport of protein to where it's needed
Why might you choose to take extra GTF Chromium?
• Soil deficiencies may have reduced chromium levels available in vegetables, and some is removed in food processing;
• It may help aid growth;
• It may help to regulate blood pressure and cholesterol;
• If you consume a diet high in refined and processed foods.
Why Nature's Own?
Nature's Own GTF Chromium supplement is in a Food State, which means the nutrients will be presented to your body in the same form as they are in food.
Food State nutrients have been tested by independent laboratories, who found that they:
• are significantly better absorbed, longer retained and better used than standard chemical supplements;
• do not need to be taken with food, as they contain all the necessary food factors needed for absorption;
• have no known allergic reactions; and
• are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
